Tales of the Marvel Universe takes place in that quiet time between when the heroes were believed dead and when they would make their inevitable return. This one-shot title contains a variety of stories wherein those that remain take care of old business. Ka-Zar feels the loss even in the Savage Land; the friends of the Fantastic Four hatch a scheme to keep their equipment from being impounded by the government; Rhodey (War Machine) hatches a similar scheme to prevent Fujikawa from learning all of Tony Stark’s secrets; and Doctor Strange learns that the heroes are not truly dead.
